XVisions is an ally of "Design Futures", the transdisciplinary methodology that enables us to experience the future scenarios (designs/visions). It improves the quality of our decisions from the present to transition into the futures we want.

XVisions22 we seek those innovative media projects that use emerging technology to help us envision and build the future we want in a co-designed and participative way.

Technology is the main character of most dystopian futures, fair enough, but the typical dystopian view has made us forget about the power of technological innovation for saving lives and also our planet.
British science fiction writer Arthur C. Clarke, author of Profiles of the Future: An Inquiry into the Limits of the Possible, is known for the sentence “Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic.”

Participants are encouraged to submit a project propsal with any forms of emerging media (VR/AR/NFT/AI) that depicts potential futures where humans thrive and take better care of the planet and each other.
The 10 best projects will be invited to join "CANNES XR 2023.
They will have the opportunity to present their idea and a jury will select the winning project.
The winner will receive a cash prize.

During CANNES XR participants will have the opportunity to meet with mentors and potential producers.
