Our Method.
SXF:Visions22 is an ally of "Design Futures", the transdisciplinary methodology that enables us to experience the future scenarios (designs/visions). It improves the quality of our decisions from the present to transition into the futures we want.

At SXF: Visions22 we see the possible futures as stories we depict in the form of short films. Through the a/v pieces, we will analyze, plan, and build the future we want in a co-designed and participative way.

Technology
Our parnter in crime.
Technology is the main character of most dystopian futures, fair enough, but the typical dystopian view has made us forget about the power of technological innovation for saving lives and also our planet.
British science fiction writer Arthur C. Clarke, author of Profiles of the Future: An Inquiry into the Limits of the Possible, is known for the sentence “Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic.”

What
Participants are encouraged to submit 5 to 9 minutes short films (live action and animation) depicting potentials forms of cooperation between humans and emerging tech to foster positive impact.
Every year, the 10 most voted stories will make it into "SXF:Visions22" the movie.
Think of it as a sort of "Love Actually" but between humans and machines, or a "Black Mirror", but in positive.
Finally, a jury will select the winning project amongst the 10 finalists.
The winner short film will receive $3,000 prize.
But now the most important...

It will be streamed for free, but if any benefits are made,
they will split equally in 11 parts amongst the creators and

We are looking into screening the movie at film festivals, venues,
and congresses in the eye of narratives for the future.
